How will Season Planner work ingame?

This is a tool that will help you to manage your races and your riders's selection. On a first tab, you see the races you can subscribe. Following your team division, you can ask invitations to continental races and world tour race and you can see the training stages that you have scheduled. There are 4 inscription periods during the season.
In the second tab, you can easily prepare your rosters for the race you subscribed. The tool is not mandatory to use, it only prepares your rosters in advance. You have still to confirm your roster on the day of the race. The interface allows you to easily manage your subscription by drag and dropping race in your riders's planning.

Is there a running calendar that decides what race will be played or will it be only independent races?

There is always a default calendar for those who don't want to manage their calendar. That said, the calendar does not decide anything, you, as the manager, decide the races you will play. And now you can decide your training stages and your rosters as well.
