[SOLVED] pcm 2013 do not start

Message31 Mars 2014, 22:12

hi i bought the game today but when i am installing it gives me an error (error code:0xE2003053) i tried to run as admin, also in different compability and i also search in google for some answers and i found a microsoft windows update but it also did not work

it automatically update to patch 1.0.4.0 when i try to run the game but it also dont start

how can i solve this???

Edit

I went to starforce page and i use an utility that they have to see the compability between the protections and windows and it gave this results

"Unfortunately, this application uses very old protection version 5.70.046.004 and will not run under Windows 8.1 / Windows Server 2012 R2 x64.

You can read about support of Windows 8.1 / Windows Server 2012 R2 x64 here: http://www.star-force.com/support/users/

You should contact your product customer support service and ask them to make a patch, which will either update protection system version or remove protection at all.
Unfortunately, StarForce company can't build such a patch since we neither have legal authority to produce any patches nor original application files required for that.

Please, accept our apologies for the inconveniences.

In order to solve compatibility issue on your PC you can uninstall StarForce driver but note that if the protected application requires a StarForce driver,
this driver will be re-installed as soon as you launch the application again.

The following procedure will ensure that all StarForce related components are completely removed from your system.

1. Download the SFREMOVE tool as a ZIP archive: http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvrem.zip
2. Extract and store sfdrvrem.exe anywhere on your hard disk.
3. Run sfdrvrem.exe."

So....how can i solve this

PCM13 is Windows 8.1 compatible once the game updated to the version 1.0.4.0.

Please install manually the update 1.0.4.0 for PCM13:

1. Click http://focus-files.com/patchs/pcm13/Set ... .0.0.0.exe
2. Save the application Setup-Patch-1.0.4.0-From-1.0.0.0.exe.
3. Once the download the done, right click Setup-Patch-1.0.4.0-From-1.0.0.0.exe and click Run as administrator.

Message02 Avr 2014, 19:25

Sorry but it did not work...

I installed the game as admin...next i instally manually the patch 1.0.4.0 as admin but when i tried to run the game the screen became all white and next it gives me a message that windows found a error and the pcm application has to be shut down...

i went to pcm.exe details and it gives version 1.0.4.0 so no doubt that the update was done...
next i saw the pcm protection.exe version and it is 5.70.46.4

and i went to starforce homepage to download the tool sfhelper and it gave the result

"Unfortunately, this application uses very old protection version 5.70.046.004 and will not run under Windows 8.1 / Windows Server 2012 R2 x64."

And now what should i do

This problem is not linked to the protection.

Please post your display and audio configuration:

1. Press the keys WINDOWS (bottom left) and R.
2. Type DXDIAG and click the button OK from the Run window.

Display tab: name of the graphics controller (Name) and the driver date (Date).
Audio tab: name of the audio controller (Name) and the driver date (Date).

I guess that to play the game i have to downgrade my OS from windows 8.1 to 8

So what should i do now?

Thanks for any help you can give to me

PCM13 1.0.4.0 is both Windows 8 and 8.1 compatible.

1. Right click on the background of the Desktop of Windows and click Configure Switchable Graphics or AMD Catalyst Control Center.
2. Click the button 'High-performance GPU' under Choose a Graphics Processing Unit.
3. Click the button 'Browse' under Other Applications.
4. Open the folder Pro Cycling Manager 2013.
5. By default the game is installed in the Local Disk (C:), folder Program Files or Program Files (x86) and Cyanide.
6. For the Steam version, the path is Local Disk (C:), folder Program Files or Program Files (x86), Steam, SteamApps and Common.
7. Select the application PCM (or PCM.exe) and click the button Open.

As my computer was not accepting to configure switchable graphics because that amd catalyst control center was "out of service" i decide to restaure all setting of my laptop...resulting in a downgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 8 and the restaure of all drivers including the graphics one...

so now after installing the game and the patch the game starts normally

just waiting to download a updated db to start enjoying the game

thks for the help
