Hello,
first I have to say 3D part is at goode shape overall. Im playing this since 2003 I think, and now have first time registered because there is something that really is annoying me.
First Sponsorgoals:
Is now at its worst state since years. I explain why:
Unrealistic Goals with no diversifikation
The Goals are written without any passion it looks like get First, get First, get First, get Top 5, so there is no diversification in it. There are 4 Shirts you can receive stage wins and so on but if you have a look across the uci pro team goals every one wants to be number one in ervery race. The goals sets are so high you can not say they are ambitious.
Bugs:
Conti Team with 14 riders can not perform the whole year. One rider can not drive all three Grand tours or 2 races at the same time. So this is poor programming or design when time and quantity is not a part of goals.
I´m not sure if it was in 2007 but there was a diversifcation in sponsorgoals. So if a race was important to your sponsor you get reputation for ex. wearing 4 days yellow jersey (like in real). Now you get nothing for this if you ar not first or top 5. Say a rider getting injured and is leader the major time you get nothing. No stage victories no wearing yellow jerseys.
So what makes me angry is that every Year you spend your time on sponsorgoals almost ervery year here is changing something and the best you can do is above? I mean we have since years not working TTT.
Second Sponsors:
I like the idea behind the new Sponsormanagement because it shows you want to be up to date.
But although you show that you want realistic Sponsormanagement it is not.
-You can get the best sponsors with the poorest conti teams you only have to save money in the first year.
-There are Sponsors that are not region bound (total unrealistic but obvious designed to make up for whats comming next).
-Sponsors dont look for what nations of drivers you have. (ex. Radioshack get a belgian and french sponsor) -> staff problem this is especially the problem if you search worldwide should be world traders from your country or the drivers you have most or second.
-You can not extend current contracts.
Sponsors are bound to money not to things you achieve like cq rating so there is no developement in your career which is the biggest motivation in playing a career. (If I want erverything now you just make your own team from the start)
You dont rely to sponsorgoals in your last year so if you make short contracts you can do what you want.
Both of it are the heart of a career motivation and long term fun which is the major part of the game. At its state playing 3D is fun but without good career this game no worth getting payed for it. The mangement part was over the last years as not beeing touched. What i have no problem with. But when you do something don´t make it halve-hearted.
