Never Ending R&D

Hello I have a problem. I'm able to choose equipment and I'm able to pick what kind of R&D I want done, but it no longer ever finishes. Whenever I check the equipment page the day it says I started the R&D continues to advance with me so the date it finishes on keeps increasing as well. I didn't have this problem during the first few years of my career. I have the game on steam so I have the most recent patch installed.Thanks.
