The next model that they’ve decided to take higher is the New Balance 999 and it’s been re-engineered with a build that feels as futuristic as ever.The backbone of the model is build around a mesh overlay that reduces weight and ups durability at the same time. The classic New Balance 999’s build is respected as well with fused paneling in place of the mid panel and nape of the tongue. As a nod to it’s original aesthetic the revamped model is finished off with a nubuck tongue and heel cap.


Flaunting an understated colorway of light grey across its suede and leather upper, perforations are applied new balance outlet, across the tongue and collar section to promote more ventilation throughout the profile, while hairy suede is utilized for its “N” branding on the sides, in addition to its heel counter.All resting atop a clean, white abzorb midsole unit and versatile gum outsole, a subtle contrasting hue of blue is also applied on the heel for a touch of vibrance. Other details include more branding on the tongue label and matching light grey-colored laces.


The new balance 999 Re-Engineered is a modernized version of the classic New Balance 999. The shoe is lighter, breathable and overall more enjoyable to wear. New Balance decided to create this model to help celebrate the 999’s 20 year anniversary.The shoe is constructed out of a layered mesh upper complimented by the suede placed on the heel tab and foxing. Below you will find a REVLITE sole unit for maximum comfort and support. Coming in Teal or Navy, both colorways are original colorways that made their debut back in 1996. Taking the tonal route and using one of the most neutral colors of all-time, let’s get a closer look at the shoe.The 999 dons a perforated suede upper done in a Grey colorway. Two different suede textures appear on the upper, hairy and smooth. Eve more of the same hue can be seen on the lining, branding, laces . Leather accents are spotted throughout such as on the heel, tongue and lining. Giving the shoe a touch of class is the Gum sole noted below.
