1Player attacks to get rid off you and 10 seconds later he is tired
2 Riders cant ride a steady pace .or they go too slow or too hard
Totally true ! Honestly the reactions of the other riders to the presence of a player behind them is too extreme. They almost never accept to be followed. They immediately try to get rid of you by attacking (even if it means that they are dead 10 meters later) or they don't participate at all to the effort (they become very slow, trying to recover in order to attack you just after).
I find it too extreme because they usually don't do that between each other.
For exemple I controlled Rolland like 30 seconds behind Contador. Behind me Froome and Nibali are slowly coming back. I've almost no energy left so I decide to wait them, recover a small part of my energy and then follow them (I'm not really dangereous for the general outstanding for both of them). They immediately accelerate to drop me. I try to fight a bit and come back behind their wheel, then they re-accelerate. Finally I give up and let them go, then they immediately come back to a normal rythm and just stay like 10 meters in front of me for several kilometers.
This situation is very common. But the IA don't do that to each other. For example Froome and Nibali managed to cooperate efficently and I didn't really saw them attacking each other. They were more or less quietly and alternatively sharing the lead of the duo.
The IA should normally never react differently to the presence (or behaviour) of a player than to the presence (or similar behaviour) of another IA, at least when the conditions are similar.
